This short video created by NOVASTARTALK participant, Fadwa Hussein, demonstrates use of Animoto, a web application that, with the click of a button, produces videos using images and music that a user selects. Language teachers and students can choose culturally-appropriate images and audio to produce short movies that can be used in language presentations.
The participants of NOVASTARTALK 2010 all joined in to create an online discussion using Voxopop. This asynchronous tool is great for taking the conversation into an online environment, and is great for practice speaking and for storytelling.
As part of the NOVASTARTALK Summer Institutes, participants create web portfolios to house the materials that they create over the course of the week.
