Canva is a free, online image editor and desktop publishing platform that can be used to create stunning web and print graphics. The simple drag-and-drop interface makes creating presentations, postcards, blog graphics and invites a simple process. Users can take advantage of the free graphics and layouts linked from Canva, upload their own art, or pay for premium art for $1 an image. Files can be exported as high-res printable files, or web-ready graphics.
STARTALK teachers can use Canva to create custom graphics in the target language that can be used on their own, or incorporated into presentations, videos or interactive learning objects. They can also have students use Canva to create content to show mastery of the Presentational communicative mode.
